Rachel graduated from Toi Whakaari (New Zealand Drama School) in 1992 and has been involved in the creative arts industry ever since, both as an actor and a director. She has performed in numerous productions from contemporary Maori plays to Shakespeare, some of which have toured nationally and internationally. She has appeared in the international award winning feature film "Whale Rider", and Taika Waititi's "Thor: Ragnarok", "Hunt for the Wilderpeople", "Boy" and "Eagle vs. Shark", as well as numerous television producitions including the BBC co-production of "Maddigan's Quest", "The New Legends of Monkey" and "Hope and Wire". She is also a director for both stage and screen and attended the Prague Film School in 2008.
