Connor Johnston is an exciting actor and graduate of The Actor’s Program, 2019.
He has many screen credits and has already scored a role in a movie alongside BAFTA award-winning and Oscar nominee actor Tim Roth. Connor has put his rugby and surfing skills to good use; starring in TV3’s Head High as the 1st XV rugby captain, and Greenstone Picture’s My life is Murder as a national surf champion. Connor also starred in the core cast of NZ On Air funded web series, Here If You Need, as well as being credited as a story liner. The 6’5’’ ex-professional basketballer, turned actor, most recently lit up Kiwi screens in a recurring guest role as Michael Finch, on NZ’s longest running soap: Shortland Street.
Connor continues to hone his craft in ongoing coaching with Laura and Latham Gaines, Les Chantery Studio. Connor was awarded the prestigious Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship where he studied a degree in business, with a double major in finance and economics, and specializing in German language and linguistics.
